Welcome to H.M. Calvert and Associates, your family eye care center for vision exams, contact lenses and eyeglasses, LASIK, cataract surgery, and emergency surgical care. Led by our ophthalmologist Dr. Harold Calvert MD, our professional eye care team treats a wide range of vision and eye health needs. Whether you need a routine vision exam and prescription update, are interested in learning more about LASIK eye surgery, or need a comprehensive eye exam for cataracts, glaucoma or other age-related eye conditions, Dr. Calvert and our team are here to help. We treat all our patients with the utmost compassion and respect. By integrating the latest technology into our vision exams, including cutting-edge treatment and state of-the-art laser equipment at our ophthalmology surgery center, we protect and enhance your vision for years to come.
Our ophthalmologist Dr. Calvert believes everyone deserves excellent vision. That’s why we provide highly personalized care for every patient we treat. Whether you are visiting our practice in order to get an updated eyeglass prescription or you need help with hard-to-fit contacts, we’re not satisfied until you are happy with your glasses or contacts!
In accordance with guidelines from the American Optometric Association, we recommend vision testing for young children prior to starting school. If you or your child wears glasses, an annual exam to confirm or update the current prescription is critical. For older adults who may be at risk for cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration or other eye conditions, we recommend regular testing.
While good vision is something many of us take for granted, not all individuals have access to the same quality vision care so many of us enjoy. At H.M. Calvert and Associates, we believe that good vision is a right, not a privilege. That’s why we are passionate about giving back and helping those who do not have access to the quality eye care that many of us do. To date, our vision and eye care team has completed 25 missions and treated over 1,000 patients. We look forward to continuing our proud tradition of Humanitarian Services in China, South Africa and Haiti by helping others in need.
Our retail optometry practice H.M. Calvert and Associates has two convenient locations in Franklin and Clarksville, Tennessee. Our surgical center, Calvert Ophthalmology Center, also has two convenient locations in Clarksville, Tennessee and Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Dr. Calvert is currently the only ophthalmologist offering LASIK surgery in Clarksville and Hopkinsville.
Are you overdue for an eye exam? If it’s been more than a year since you had your prescription glasses or contact lenses updated, it’s time! You should also receive regular eye exams if you are at risk for cataracts, glaucoma or another age-related vision condition. Glaucoma, for example, can cause irreversible vision loss; with early detection and proactive treatment, our eye care team can help slow this vision loss. Early detection is critical however, so do not delay scheduling your appointment!
